MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The BNFF is a filmmaker's festival. A festival hosted by filmmakers and screenwriters for filmmakers and screenwriters...In a region that loves the arts and has produced many famous industry icons both behind the camera, on the screen, and abroad.
The BNFF Festival Directors and Board of Advisors are committed to providing opportunities to fellow filmmakers and all others involved in bringing cinematographic arts and other related entertainment products to the public.
We are committed to continue the growth of this 1st Rate Film Festival to showcase High-Profile Events, talent, productions, films and filmmakers from around the country and the world.
We will strive to make the BNFF the place to come together and celebrate this shared passion for film, filmmaking, and the filmmaker/screenwriter.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The 5th Annual BUFFALO NIAGARA "HALL OF FAME" FILM FESTIVAL (BNFF) is a 10 day International Film Festival & Market, open to the public, filmmakers, and entertainment industry professionals from April 8th - 17th, 2011 at various Historical Venues around the Buffalo-Niagara Region.
Some of the BNFF's past guests and participants have included Robert Redford, Robert Culp, Richard Dreyfuss, Cindy Williams, Lou Gossett Jr., Tom Holland, Lou Ferrigno, Tony Pastor Jr. and more.
The BNFF Film & Screenplay Competitions are open to EVERYONE! FROM THE AMATEUR TO THE PROFESSIONAL (there are no prejudices or politics here) If you have a great product - you will get great recognition - IT'S THAT SIMPLE!
This year the BNFF is MAKING HISTORY BEING THE 1ST FILM FESTIVAL EVER TO INDUCT AND INTRODUCE TO THE WORLD THE 1ST FILMMAKERS HALL OF FAME, TAKING PLACE DURING WEEK APRIL 8-17, 2011.
Come and share a part of history with the BNFF during the week of April 8 - 17, 2011 where we will Induct our 1st Recipients and Honorees of The Filmmakers Hall Of Fame (Recipients To Be Announced At A Later Date).

Special Amenities, Scouting and Tour Packages of The Buffalo Niagara Region will be available during festival week by request to the Festival Director only.
With the backdrop of Niagara Falls and many historical sites of Buffalo, the BNFF 2011 is your ticket to one of the greatest historical festivals ever. Not only is the BNFF one of the fastest growing festivals in the world, but it is one of the best market places for your past, present and future film projects.
In addition to film screenings, industry leaders and others will present seminars and panel discussions and workshops on topics of interest to filmmakers, screenwriters, and entertainment industry professionals. Opening and Closing Night Galas, Filmmaker Receptions, and a Festival Expo featuring products and services from BNFF Sponsors and Industry will be held during Festival week. A Film Market will also be held during Festival Week to provide filmmakers, distributors, and buyers the opportunity to network to one of the greatest places in the world.

GENERAL RULES
Prizes and Awards for all categories will be announced by April 17, 2011.

Features must be at between 46 and 150 minutes in length.
Shorts must be no longer than 45 minutes in length.
Films may have been previously screened at other festivals, although BNFF "premier" status is preferred but not mandatory.
Any film that has had a theatrical release, other than a limited Premier or special showing, or is currently in distribution (e.g., has been licensed for distribution in some Territory) may be eligible for the competition. If there is a question regarding eligibility, please contact Submissions@BuffaloNiagaraFilmFestival.com.
The Festival Organizers reserve the right to hold Special Screenings of previously released/distributed films, however they will not be considered for juried competition or festival prizes.
NO FILMS WILL BE CONSIDERED THAT WOULD RECEIVE A MPAA "X" OR "NR" RATING.
