Who’s Afraid of Desiré Dubounet,
by Crabby Twin Productions, is a seventy
minute documentary/mockumentry about the
American Ex-pat Medical Inventor turned Star-of-Stage-and-Screen
Transvestite.
Filled with kung fu fighting tales of Desiré Dubounet’s real-life
cartoon hero adventures kicking criminal ass, film maker Marshall tries to share
the three faces of this multifaceted personality.
A Doctor. A Healer. A Quack. A Glamour Queen. A Unisex Sage. A Bitch.
The question we all knew we were set up to ask: Who is Desiré Dubounet?
And what exactly is there to be afraid of? The mystery unfolds.
This movie takes us through the curious second and third life of medical inventor
Dr. Bill Nelson and birth of Desiré Dubounet: Film director, producer,
musician and live entertainer.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
Sometimes we simply want to judge a book by its cover. Seen one Drag Queen then
you have seen them all I thought. Well was I ever wrong. First,to stand corrected
Desire Dubounet is "NOT A DRAG QUEEN" at all but just a sweet Transvestite
who has happened to invented a medical machine that makes millions, directs
and makes movies, owns and performs as a rock and roller in her own club but
yet still makes time to throw a traditional American family Thanksgiving dinner
with wife and children.Unlike many other portraits ,stories and portrayals
of cross dressing gender benders there is nothing sad or pathetic about Desire
Dobounet. Some may say the ego has gone mad, but the heart remains intact!A
truely unique being really unlike anyone else I have ever met.Is she for real?
Judge for yourself.
